HTLA List Server This robust networking tool puts the power and experience of some of Houston's best trial lawyers at your fingertips. List Server members can ask questions, discuss case strategies, and gather information via e-mail from the best trial lawyers in the state. List Membership CLE Luncheons HTLA's monthly membership CLE luncheons are designed with Houston lawyers in mind. These one-hour programs feature speakers that will help you navigate trending legal issues, build your practice, and sharpen your trial skills. Women’s Caucus The Women’s Caucus of HTLA helps foster an environment within HTLA where women trial lawyers can learn from one another and overcome challenges together. Through networking events, CLE courses, and leadership opportunities, women find the support they need to take their practice to the next level. Community Involvement and HTLF Through the Houston Trial Lawyers Foundation (HTLF), HTLA partners with a number of local charities and community outreach organizations to help improve access to critical legal services for the underserved and underprivileged, and works to improve the community in and out of the courtroom. HTLF also participates in a mentorship program at a local HISD elementary school and coordinates weekly classroom visits, courtroom mock trials, legislative trips to Austin, an annual holiday party, and much more. Social Events In addition to monthly luncheons, HTLA members meet regularly for networking events, membership happy hours, and the annual golf tournament. Every summer HTLA proudly hosts judges from around the State for Big League Bash at Minute Maid Park, an event that gives our members a chance to connect with judges away from the courtroom and, together, enjoy a baseball game. TrialSmith's National Databases HTLA partners with TrialSmith to bring you an exclusive bank of documents and depositions from 56 participating trial lawyer associations. HTLA members may search the database for free, and may purchase these items separately or subscribe to TrialSmith. First year subscription access is free to new HTLA members. (Learn More) |
